From a young age the human mind always fascinated Isaiah and his interest in psychology grew during his time in National Service as a Naval/Hyperbaric medic where he was in-charge of conducting trainings and managing of documentation within the unit. During the COVID-19 Pandemic, under the Singapore Armed Forces Isaiah was deployed to various hospitals to assist them with managing the patients. Some of his responsibilities include triaging of patients, providing basic medical care and dispensing of medication. His contribution as a medic during the COVID-19 Pandemic earned him a commendation award from the Singapore Armed Forces.

To pursue his interest in psychology Isaiah completed his Bachelor of Arts in Psychology at Murdoch University. Subsequently, he completed his Honours in Psychological Science at James Cook University, Singapore. Isaiah is passionate with assisting individuals of all ages from all walks of life overcome various challenges as he believes that everyone should have the opportunity to achieve a sound mind. He has previously volunteered for his community at the Meet-the-Peoples Session (MPS) as a caseworker, which involved writing into various government agencies on behalf of disadvantaged people to find them assistance.

Isaiah has been one of the main facilitators of FreEDom - Better Life’s Intensive Outpatient Eating Disorder Day Service. Since the program began, he has been providing those recovering from eating disorders with planned support, empathetic care and guided recovery. As part of the FreEDom program, Isaiah conducts psycho-education, arts/hobbies, group discussions, mindfulness, and supported lunch sessions. In addition to that, he assists with the post workshop discussion where he reiterates the therapeutic modalities that participants have learnt from clinicians such as Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Schema Therapy and Dialectical Behavioural Therapy (DBT).

In his free time, Isaiah enjoys watching horror movies and various TV series, listening to music, and spending time with his family and friends. He enjoys adventure and is a certified lifeguard, qualified medic and advanced diver. He is fluent in English and Tamil as well as being able to understand simple Mandarin and Malay. Isaiah is always open to getting to know more about people and learning new things from them.
