Martina is a compassionate and dedicated Clinical Psychologist with a commitment to fostering a non-judgmental and trusting therapeutic environment for her clients. Martina works with adults, adolescents, and children to address a range of psychological issues, which include but are not limited to anxiety disorders, depressive disorders, tic disorders, and somatic disorders.
She employs a blend of therapeutic techniques from Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT). Her approach is focused on empowering clients, enhancing their capacity for personal growth, and improving mental health through evidence-based strategies. In her practice, Martina prioritises ensuring that every client feels safe, valued, and understood by creating a safe and non-judgmental space where clients can openly explore and address their difficulties in a collaborative manner.
Martina also provides psychological assessments for children and adults, including cognitive assessments, ADHD assessments, and assessments for adaptive functioning.
As part of her training, Martina has gained experience working with children facing psychological and health challenges in a public hospital setting and providing trauma-informed psychological support to adults in a private setting.
Before specialising in clinical psychology, Martina garnered valuable experience in high-pressure corporate environments. This background provides her with a profound understanding of work-related stress, burnout, and perfectionism and has contributed to her passion for working with individuals who experience these struggles.
Having lived, worked and studied in Singapore, the United States, and Australia, Martina offers a broad, informed perspective enriched by her diverse academic and cultural experiences. She completed her primary and secondary studies in a Singaporean local school, and then went on to complete high school in United World College SEA before going overseas to complete her first bachelor’s degree. This background is instrumental in her ability to understand and integrate both local and international educational dynamics into her practice.
Outside the clinic, Martina cherishes time spent with her husband, friends, and pets. She enjoys long walks in nature, collecting plants, and indulging in her passion for reading.
