Poh You Zhe Ivan

Ivan completed his Advanced Diploma in Counselling Psychology at the College of Allied Educators in Singapore, where he developed expertise in various therapeutic approaches. His skills include Rational Emotive Behavior Therapy (REBT) within the framework of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), individual and family Solution Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT), and group therapy. He is also proficient at determining when to apply Person-Centered Therapy (PCT) or directive therapy approaches based on individual client needs.

To further his passion for psychopathology and neurodivergence, Ivan completed his Bachelor of Science (Honours) in Psychology (Clinical Psychology) at Northumbria University. His dissertation focused on Loneliness, Depressive Symptoms, and Perceived Social Support among young adults, and he also completed a specialized module on Eating Disorders. During his studies, Ivan worked as a clinic executive in a private mental health clinic, where he gained valuable experience communicating with patients and their families, as well as contributing to the case management team, aiding in patients' psychological first aid. Ivan has a particular interest in working with youth and young adults, helping them navigate their unique challenges, and fostering their mental well-being.

Outside of his professional pursuits, Ivan enjoys spending time in nature through hiking, cycling, and running. He also engages in occasional live sketching.
